Alright, life is busy right now. Lots of time unplugged and enjoying the summer. Hard to believe it’s coming to a close in just a few short weeks. But so not to leave you hanging (because you live and breathe based on the grammatical train-wreck that is this blog…) here’s some of the stuff that’s happening in my world these days:
- We’re just finishing up a week of swimming lessons for my 4 year old. 3rd time’s a charm to graduate from Sea Otter…right?! Seriously, he’s done amazingly well this time around. He’s getting comfortable, listening well and only a couple of minor meltdowns. Every time he does a task, he looks over at me with a big smile and gives me a thumbs up. Adorable. Much better than our last go-round when he’d behave like a bit of a turd and then give me a thumbs up while I buried my head in embarrassment.
- I’m doing this little adventure race called Swamp Donkey in less than a month. I’m equal parts nervous and excited. I have never done ANYTHING remotely like this before so it’s going to be a great challenge. I wanted to find something that would take me outside my comfort zone at some point this year and this most definitely fits the bill. It’s going to throw my inexperienced butt about 50 feet outside my comfort zone.
- I’m about 6 weeks into a nutrition program that is rocking my world. It’s like nothing I’ve ever done or tried before. Some days are amazing and others have me beating my head against the wall. It goes way deeper than eating habits and could very well be the game-changer I’ve been needing for the last 10 years or so.
- I’m starting the 22 pushups for 22 days challenge. As of now, I’m 2 days in. I love this challenge. Pushups are my favorite but also one of the most challenging exercises for me to do. I still struggle but I feel so accomplished when I can bang out a set. Hopefully by the end of 22 days, I can do all 22 in a row without assistance!
And that’s my world right now! Have a great weekend!!
