Recovery Road

Welp…our run of decent(ish) health came to a screeching halt over the weekend. And by screeching, I mean…puke.

And more puke.

Thankfully, after a loooooong Thursday night listening to hubby clean up and deal with a pukey 2 year old (thank the good Lord I married a man that can handle barf!), we all took it easy on Friday and so far, no one else has been taken out. That’s not to say that it won’t happen (cue my massive paranoia and fear about the ralph) but I think we may have seen the worst of it.

So aside from some fatigue and a few extra loads of laundry, we had a decent enough weekend. My oldest and I got to take in the hockey game on Saturday and it was a blast. I love that he’s at an age where we can do stuff like this together. He’s still so young and yet he’s his own person. It was great to watch the game through his eyes (and get on the jumbo-tron!).

Checking the player stats before puck drop.

This week is a deload week at work so I’ll have a few days off to enjoy some extra family time, a massage and some spa time with the girls. I’m really excited for this. I’ve been go-go-going for too long without a rest so this is much needed and much deserved.

It also means I’m going to have to shave my legs above the ankle line (#winterlegproblems) and dig out a bathing suit to wear (#pastycanadianproblems).

Have a great week everyone!
